Why we built it
A shop's numbers usually live in three places: the bin card in the store, the receipt book at the counter and the owner's memory. They rarely agree, and finding out why takes an evening nobody has.
Stock keeps them as one record. A delivery, a sale, a transfer or a count is entered once, by the person doing it, and the balance, the cost and the money owed all follow from it.
We kept the paperwork people already know. There is still a GRN, a bin card, a proforma and a withholding receipt. They are just never out of date.
